From 11 till 16th of January Conference about problem of HIV/AIDS has taken place in adaptation branch of rehabilitation centre "Salvation". Fund "ISSAC" became the organizer of this conference. Employees of clinic "Mildmay" the Great Britain conducted the conference, the director - Marie Connor and the head nurse, psychologist - Lindi Rubi, and also a bishop of Sverdlovsk area Andrey Berdyshev. Conference was conducted for workers of the rehabilitation centers, public organizations and the volunteers working in problem HIV/AIDS.
Teachers shared not only bases of problem of HIV/AIDS, but also shared the wide experience of work with a HIV the infected people, told about as to care of sick people, about sincere and spiritual care, gave skills of dialogue and consultation. 26 persons have visited this conference and all have received certificates in the end of training. It was only the first block of training; the second final block is planned after 6 months.

     New Year is one of favorite holidays in our country. It has not bypassed and our Center. Guys and girls, men and women, all who are at the rehabilitation program have started to prepare for this holiday in advance. Nobody has stood aside, all of them have wanted, that this New Year was bright, cheerful and was remembered to everyone. Composed verses, songs, thought out jokes, riddles. You will not tell, that these people have such "rich" experience of an alcoholism or a drug dependence. All these people are unique, individual and talented. And to celebrate New Year without dope is much more interesting and more cheerful. It is possible to laugh, rejoice, and be free and cheerful without alcohol and drugs.
     Music, laughter, congratulations were till the morning. Some people who finished rehabilitation program of the Center have arrived there also, many have arrived families and with children.
     Separate thanks all who has helped by finance and products for a New Year's table. The menu was really celebratory. The New Year's Eve was good! Let's we leave all the bad in the last year. All the best!   Happy New Year!

The 1st of December - the World day of struggle against AIDS.
27th of November, and from 1 till 3rd of December, 2008 there were actions devoted this day in Asbest city. The initiative group of volunteers of centre "Salvation" together with Management of Education of a city has conducted large-scale actions for pupils of the senior classes and students of professional schools. Had been captured nearby 800 persons.
Actions were in frameworks of Project "That do you think about it?"
Dancing groups have taken part in them and media studio "Alternativa" has presented new musical group - "Estera".
The video material has been shown about harm of drugs, work was spent with people on revealing of level of knowledge about problem of HIV/AIDS, ways of transfer of a HIV of an infection have been named. Conclusion - you should not risk the health, you should be reasonable!

Musical news:
Youth musical group "Alternativa" has made a new album, its name is
"I will not leave you".
The disk is written down at partnership of the rehabilitation centre Salvation, church "Love of Christ" and international fund "Tearfund". This disk is a project product "That do you think about it?". It is directed on prophylactic of a drug addiction among youth.

28 of August 2008 Consulate general of the USA of the Ekaterinburg city, in person Christopher Barnsa - vice-consul and Christopher Dzh. Istrat - vice-consul concerning questions of press, formation and cultures, have visited our Center of rehabilitation.
The purpose of their visit - acquaintance to social activity in Russia.
It was interesting and productive dialogue for both parties.

We had some joyful events in this summer:
We have two weddings of our employees. They are the former addicts who have found freedom from dependence and have begun a new life without drugs.
God is good! We congratulate them!

From July, 21 till July, 24th, 2008 Conference has taken place for leaders of rehabilitation programs and volunteers , who are engaged in prophylactic of a drug addiction and HIV/AIDS in Uralsk Federal district.
The main theme of conference was "Space of theTrust ".Base of rest on the bank of picturesque lake, employment on the nature, dialogue at a fire, benevolent conditions and trainings, trainings, trainings. The theory and practice are in one place.
Rehabilitation centre "Salvation" together with international fund "Tearfund" and the world coalition of rehabilitation centers "Issac" were organizers of this conference.
