Every single day brings more people turning to the Center for help but, sadly, it is not able to admit
more right now to cater for. This fact has become the reason for the idea to build a social settlement
which would allow to admit more drug and alcohol users looking for help and to provide good living
conditions for the rehabilitation period.
This year, over 60 people have already addressed the Center for help.

They have run there preventive events to resist an alcoholism, a drug addiction and HIV/AIDS.
These colonies are near to the city of Tavda. Entrance to these prisons has organized by welfare fund "Evangelical mercy".
The team of ministers consisted of nine Christians of various age and the social status.
They sincerely wished to tell prisoner about God and work of the Christian rehabilitation centers.
These events consist of musical performances, preventive videos, testimonies of people whose lives were changed by God.
In total they preached nearby 450 prisoners in four colonies. During these events brochures about "Salvation" centre and
addresses of the various rehabilitation centers were distributed.
These centers are ready to accept prisoners after their deliverance for rehabilitation.
This trip was financed by "Tearfund" International Christian Welfare Fund as part of "Salvation" rehab centre project
«Refuse to distribution of HIV/AIDS».
In 2010 we plan to carry out similar events in all the colonies of Sverdlovsk area.
You can see the small video about this trip here.
We wish to inform that our organisation
in person Evgeniy Melnikov (he is the director of "Salvation")
and some lawyer (Tatyana Tagieva) have developed the Standard of rehabilitation and
have offered its State service of the control over a drug trafficking and the expert in narcology of Sverdlovsk area.
The standard has been developed at cooperation and interrogation about 100 rehabilitation centres.
The big work has been made.
State service has accepted this standard for the further advancement in our region.
If this standard passes all instances that we and other rehabilitation programs can raise our work on
higher level and get support from our State. It is very important!
We have visited the
Eastern Europe and Central Asia AIDS conference since 28 till 30 of october in Moscow.
The new information was certainly but all was superficial because
of a considerable quantity of participants who were here (nearby 3000).
We took a lot of a distributing and digital material at the conference and
we will be to study it and to apply in service when there will be a necessity.
We have met many familiar Christians who take a part in the service for HIV infected people.
Good dialogue and an exchange of experience were with them.
A concert on the occasion of Youth Day and Fight Against Drugs Day took place in Asbest on the 3rd of July, 2009.
The open-air event was arranged by Drug Rehabilitation Center “Salvation” under the “What Do You Think About It?” Project in cooperation with the Educational Authority for the Asbest city district and funded by the International Relief Fund “Tearfund”.
We had guests from Moscow (singers Dre The Nomad and Flora), Chelyabinsk (Zhenya Solnechniy), and of course Asbest (“EstherA” band and “In Style” dance team) performing.
Everyone was welcome to the free-of-charge concert. Regardless the bad rainy weather, about one thousand citizens came to the squire. We were especially delighted to see the number of youth prevail.
There was a lot of contemporary music and songs and much spoken of alcohol and drugs influence and implications in relation to the health and lives of young people.
The concert participants encouraged youth against risking their health by taking alcohol and drugs and spoke up for healthy life style.
The volunteers of “Salvation” Center handed out fliers for the next day meeting with the performers where the latter openly testified to what God had done for them in their lives and answered questions live.
Also, everyone present at the meeting was given an invitation to the Church Youth Service that we have each Sunday at the church “Love of Christ” in Asbest. About 20 new young people came for the service!
From June 22 through 27, 2009,

The lectures were given by the workers of London-based MILDMAY Clinic: Marie Connor, Director, and Linda Ruby, Staff Nurse and psychologist.
The training was held with the financial support of the international fund “ISAAC”.
Many issues were highlighted with priority given to counseling and advising people living with HIV.
Also, the issues of work with people suffering from chemical addiction and with those co-dependent, i.e. relatives and friends of drug and
alcohol addicts, were discussed every evening.
22 representatives of different organizations based in Sverdlovsky and Chelyabinsky regions attended the training and were granted certificates afterwards.
The information and experience shared by the instructors are certainly of great importance when working with HIV positive people.
The knowledge obtained by the participants will be helpful and useful when helping and ministering to those in need.
We are happy to tell you that Antinarcotic Center “Salvation” celebrated its 11th Birthday!
Every birthday is such a holiday for us; we are moving on, have more people approaching us for help,
lives changing and souls healing. Each year we do our best to give hope for SALVATION to much more people!

During the period from April 17th through 28th “Salvation” Antinarcotics Center had visitors from Scotland. Each of the 11 team members is a volunteer for the International Relief Fund – “Tearfund”.
The idea of their trip was to see the social work being done in Russia, how churches link to social agencies doing this kind of work. The team was primarily interested however in the work of the organizations partnering with “Tearfund”.
The team visited a few cities in Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions and was able to see the ways social organizations and churches provide help in rehabilitation centers to drug-addicts, HIV positive patients particularly, vulnerable families with small children, help poor and homeless people.
In the end of the trip, the team members expressed their favorable and positive opinions about the work they had seen as well as recognition of its importance and relevance. Also, they encouraged us to keep on doing our work and helping those in need.
We wish to inform you, that work of Antinarcotic centre "Salvation" is not stay on a place, and we move in new directions. Our borders extend, and we are beyond Sverdlovsk area. We have based the new Center of rehabilitation in the Korkino city of the Chelyabinsk area, it will begin the activity in this year.
The 13th of February 2009 is significant date for us now because the first employees of this centre Vadim and Alexey have arrived to rehabilitation centre "Salvation" of the Korkino city in this day. They must realise a difficult task to start organization of the service for dependent people in the Chelyabinsk area. The Christian church "Word of God", pastor Nikolay Pechyonkin, has given a place for this rehab centre.
It is part of building of the former restaurant. Now there are no patients in this centre still because guys should put things in order, make repair that it was possible to accept the first patients.
We plan to conduct some preventive actions in the Chelyabinsk area, and also to conduct anonymous free meetings with the skilled professional psychologist from Chelyabinsk regularly once a week for the parents whose children suffer from narcotic dependence.
The meeting of the partners of international fund "Òearfund" has taken place in Moscow from February, 8 till February, 10th. Representatives of six organizations were present at this meeting, all of them are engaged in various work for struggle against a narcotism and epidemic of HIV/AIDS.
